About Trailbrakes
Pete Corson
Pete set out to travel the world in 2001. Armed with a degree in Zoology and a keen sense of adventure he carried out conservation work in the Caribbean and led a diving expedition to Fiji. However, in 2004, something finally dragged him home - It wasn't the weather or the love of deep fried Mars bars - It was the mountains!
Since returning Pete has built on his skills and gained mountain bike leader qualifications through the SMBLA (Scottish Mountain Bike Leader Award Scheme) as well as working as a sailing and power-boating instructor. Living back in Scotland his passion for mountain biking has grown and grown leading him to create Trailbrakes to show the rest of the world just how amazing Scotland is.
Pete is not only passionate about mountain biking but also about taking people on fantastic journeys be it by bike, walking or kayaking. He has spent the last few years, (with the help of some patient friends!) researching and discovering the best trails and linking them together to create interesting, challenging, scenic and flowing mountain bike journeys.
He is also the person who you will most likely meet on your trip. Pete will pass on all of the knowledge you'll need before you embark on a self guided trip and also be on the end of the phone should you need any help! As an experienced mountain bike leader he will also be your guide on most of the organised trips. He has an extensive knowledge of Scotland, it's wildlife and its wild and beautiful places and seems able to seek out the best places to refuel after a hard day in the saddle!
So what are you waiting for come and join Pete and Trailbrakes for a fantastic mountain biking holiday.
